I have been working from home for almost a year now, so I have simplified my routines and products that I use on a daily basis.  Working from home is a little weird and there are many days I do not get ready at all - no makeup or hair products.  It is freeing, but I FEEL better on the days that I actually get ready.  There is something about putting on a little makeup and doing a little something to your hair that makes you feel more confident and happier.

Today I am sharing three products are newish to me and I have really enjoyed using. They do the job in a simple and effective way.

I am also sharing an amazing book that I have been loving!

Mac In Extreme Dimension Lash Mascara
I love the look of long full lashes, but I do not want to fuss with any of the lash serums or extensions or false lashes. It just isn't practical for my lifestyle.

I was at the MAC counter recently and they were having a great sale, so I thought I would try one of their mascaras.  The lady that was helping me said this one is great if you don't want to mess with multiple products and gave great lashes in just 1 or 2 swipes.  And, she was right.  You get great length with only a couple of swipes.  It isn't super volumizing, but you can work with it a little to make your lashes appear more full.  Or, just use a nice thick liner at the eyelash base and it will do the trick. I am loving it!

Bite Beauty Cosmetics - Agave Lip Mask

Living in Colorado, the dry air is really harsh on your lips.  I have tried several natural lip balms and I haven't found any that I have loved.

On my last trip to Sephora, I picked up this Agave Lip Mask by Bite Beauty.  I like the Bite Beauty brand since they use food grade ingredients in their lip products.

I love that this one has a bit of a pink tint to it and feels very moisturizing on the lips.  It actually stays on the lips for 2-4 hours, even while drinking and eating.  They have a clear one as well, if you want to share with your man.

Trilogy Certified Organic Rosehip Oil
As I mentioned, I like to keep my beauty routine simple.  I have watched a lot of YouTube tutorials that show different anti-aging products and I get so confused.  There are so many products, I don't know what to use in the right combinations, what to use at night, what to use in the morning.  Some seem so strong (like the Retinols) and where they may be effective, it just seems like too much work for me.  And, those products are not cheap.

In an effort to clean up my beauty products, I am researching products that are safer for our skin and do not include the harsh chemicals.

While my son was at soccer practice, I popped into a health store in Boulder and picked up this organic rose hip oil.  I used it as my moisturizer, morning and night, following the trilogy Cream Cleanser.  I have used the entire container and I have really missed it, so I will be picking up some more. It made my skin feel moisturized, but not in a heavy way.  I feel like it helped lighten up some of my dark pigmentation and softened my fine lines.

I didn't love the cream cleanser, as I prefer a more sudsy type of cleanser, but I LOVED the oil and will be repurchasing! I am also going to try the trilogy hydrating mist.

These products are currently 25% off!

Before using this product, I was not familiar with rose hip oil, so I thought I would research the uses and benefits. After using the product, I would definitley agree.

Time Management Book

As a health coach, I work with a number of women that struggle to find the time to create healthy habits and to stick to them.  I hear a lot of "I am so busy", "I don't have time right now", etc...

I, admittedly, am not good at managing my time. I am, however, working on that every day.
We all lead very busy lives and with the increased use of technology, we all feel overwhelmed.

I love how this book makes you think differently about how you spend your time. It gives examples of successful people that accomplish a lot in the same amount of time that we have all been given each week.

If you struggle with finding the time to make your health a priority, I highly recommend reading this book or listening on Audible.

Think about how you allocate your 168 hours this week. Can you find 1.5 hours out of your 168 this week to do 5 - 30 minute workouts? Can you find 1 hour out of the 168 to meal prep a few healthy snacks to have on hand for the week?

Here's how it breaks down...
168 hours/week:

- 49 hours of sleep (7 days/7 hours)
- 50 hours of work
- 5 hours of commute to from work
- 5 hours to get ready for work
- 7 hours of making meals

= 52 hours left over to spend quality time with family, pursue a personal passion project, to exercise and to take care of yourself.
